How it works
Formula
Required Final = (Target − Current × (1 − Final Weight)) ÷ Final WeightConvert the final exam weight from a percentage to a decimal.
Remove the current coursework contribution from the target grade.
Divide the remaining points by the final exam weight.
Worked examples
With an 87% current grade, a final worth 30%, and a 90% target, you need 97% on the final.
If the current grade is 95%, the final is 20%, and the target is 90%, the required final is below 0%.
